Date: March 20, 2018
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM MDT
Event Description:

You are receiving this invitation to participate in a community health and wellness initiative being offered to the Lead and Deadwood communities.  Through Healthy HometownSM Powered by Wellmark, our community can receive expert consultation to help identify areas of needed improvement related to eating well, moving more, and feeling better.   Wellmark provides a Community Health Manager and other experts to help us determine what changes we would like to see in our physical environment, behaviors, and policies that can help our citizens make the healthy choice the easy choice.  This is offered at no cost – we just need the will to do the work.

Currently, Rapid City’s Live Well Black Hills committee is working with Wellmark on a Healthy Hometown plan for Rapid City.  Live Well Black Hills and Wellmark would like to expand their efforts into other Black Hills communities that are interested.  They will hold a community meeting for Lead/Deadwood where they can explain the vision of Live Well Black Hills and how Healthy Hometown can help community members make healthier choices.  Here is a short video with a Healthy Hometown overview:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnOwot9JYUw&feature=youtu.be.
